Taxidermy Collections — Legal Agreement & Service Framework

These Terms & Conditions govern all use of the Taxidermy Collections website and all commissioned services provided by the studio. By engaging with our services, submitting a request, or confirming a commission, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined below.

Taxidermy Collections operates as a custom wildlife artistry studio specializing in handcrafted taxidermy, restoration, and installation work. Each commission is individually created and governed by the conditions of bespoke craft production.

1. DEFINITIONS

For clarity within this agreement:

  • “Studio” refers to Taxidermy Collections
  • “Client” refers to any individual or entity commissioning work
  • “Commission” refers to any custom taxidermy or restoration project
  • “Work” refers to all artistic, physical, and logistical services provided

2. NATURE OF SERVICES

All services provided by Taxidermy Collections are:

  • Custom-made
  • Handcrafted
  • Non-replicable
  • Based on individual client specifications

Each piece is treated as a unique work of wildlife artistry. No two commissions are identical.

The Studio does not offer mass-produced inventory or standardized products.

3. COMMISSION ACCEPTANCE

A commission is considered officially accepted only when:

  • Project scope has been confirmed
  • A deposit has been received (where applicable)
  • The Studio has agreed to proceed with production

The Studio reserves the right to decline any commission at its sole discretion.

4. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

The Client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate and complete project information
  • Approve design directions at required stages
  • Respond in a timely manner during consultation phases
  • Ensure lawful ownership or authorization of subject matter where applicable
  • Review and confirm all key project decisions before production continues

Delays in client communication may impact project timelines.

5. PRICING & PAYMENTS

All pricing is determined based on:

  • Species complexity
  • Level of customization
  • Size and scale of the project
  • Habitat or installation requirements
  • Material and preservation needs

Payment Structure:

  • A deposit may be required to begin work
  • Remaining balances are due according to agreed milestones or before delivery
  • Work may be paused if payments are delayed

All payments are considered final once processing begins on the respective stage of work.

6. CUSTOM WORK POLICY

All commissions are:

  • Made to order
  • Individually designed
  • Non-transferable
  • Non-refundable once production begins

Due to the nature of taxidermy craftsmanship, materials and labor cannot be reversed or repurposed.

7. APPROVAL & ARTISTIC DIRECTION

The Studio maintains artistic authority over execution while respecting client direction.

This means:

  • Client input is incorporated during consultation and design stages
  • Final structural and anatomical decisions may be guided by studio expertise
  • Adjustments may be made to ensure realism, stability, and long-term durability

Once a stage is approved by the client, it is considered final.

8. CANCELLATION POLICY

Before production begins:

  • Cancellation requests may be considered
  • Administrative or preparation costs may apply

After production begins:

  • Commissions cannot be cancelled
  • Deposits are non-refundable
  • Work already completed will be billed proportionally

9. DELIVERY & SHIPPING

All completed works are subject to the Shipping Policy, which governs:

  • Packaging standards
  • Insurance coverage
  • Transport methods
  • Customs compliance
  • Delivery responsibilities

Once a shipment is delivered and signed for, responsibility transfers to the Client.

10. RISK & LIABILITY

The Studio is not liable for:

  • Damage caused by improper handling after delivery
  • Environmental deterioration due to unsuitable display conditions
  • Delays caused by customs or third-party logistics providers
  • Issues arising from incorrect client-provided information

All works are created with professional-grade preservation standards; however, longevity depends on proper care and environment.

11. ARTISTIC VARIATION

As all works are handcrafted, the Client acknowledges that:

  • Minor artistic variations may occur
  • Natural materials may vary in texture and tone
  • No two specimens are identical in final appearance

These variations are considered part of authentic craftsmanship and are not defects.
